Mainframe Application Modernization Developer

The Mainframe Application Modernization Developer role is onsite four days per week and work-from-home one day per week, in New York, NY or Pittsburgh, PA. Compensation is $60–$65 per hour. The developer supports application development and modernization initiatives in the financial services and cash management domain. The role develops and maintains mainframe applications while helping modernize and optimize systems. Work includes language migration, API integration with non-mainframe environments, and collaboration with technical teams and stakeholders to advance modernization objectives.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, and DB2
• support modernization and optimization initiatives
• assist with language migration
• integrate mainframe applications with non-mainframe environments using APIs
• work with Java and/or Python alongside mainframe technologies
• support financial services and cash management application development
• collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders.
