What you'll do

• Collect blood specimens using appropriate collection tubes
• identify patients by name and date of birth
• label samples and log procedures
• return samples to the laboratory promptly
• transport specimens and reports within the hospital
• maintain stocked pickup trays and phlebotomy stations
• review collection logs for incomplete collections
• perform clerical duties when not directly involved in phlebotomy.
