Construction Materials Technician

What you'll do

• Inspect and test concrete, grout, and mortar
• monitor placement techniques
• measure slump, air content, unit weight, and temperature
• mold strength specimens and perform core drilling
• establish asphalt test locations and check load temperatures and paving practices
• test soil and aggregate density, compaction, and moisture
• observe proof rolling
• check bearing capacity
• and quantify excavation.
