Senior Property Manager – Somali-English Bilingual

The Senior Property Manager – Somali-English Bilingual works in person at assigned properties in Minneapolis, MN, with occasional work at Aeon’s Central Office, training facilities, or other properties. Compensation is $75,000–$80,000 per year. Aeon develops, owns, and manages affordable communities and provides housing that supports resilience, opportunity, and lasting impact. The role leads day-to-day operations across four South Quarter apartment communities, strengthening property performance and supporting onsite teams. It combines staff leadership, financial and operational management, affordable-housing compliance, leasing oversight, and culturally responsive resident relationships; Somali and English fluency is required.

What you'll do

• Lead, coach, and develop onsite staff
• manage operating budgets, expenses, financial variance reports, collections, and capital projections
• oversee maintenance, inspections, vendors, leasing, occupancy, and resident retention
• lead affordable-housing compliance and prepare for audits and inspections
• build resident and community relationships in Somali and English
• and mentor property managers and assistant property managers across Aeon’s portfolio. Participate in the property-management on-call rotation, typically one week every five to six weeks.
