This role supports Vistar, a leading distributor of candy, snacks, and beverages, by ensuring the timely and safe delivery of products to customers. The primary purpose of this role is to operate a tractor-trailer or straight truck to deliver food and food-related products. Drivers act as the face of the company, building relationships with our customers while adhering to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety standards.

What you'll do

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections of vehicles
• follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies
• inspect trailers for properly loaded and secured freight
• complete accurate paperwork
• unload damaged goods and customer returns
• maintain daily record-keeping and hours of service logs.
