Senior Network Engineer / Architect

The Senior Network Engineer / Architect role is onsite in Fort Belvoir, VA. The listed salary range is $115,000–$120,000 per year. SarelaTech’s work supports the I3TS program, providing enterprise-wide IT support for DTRA’s Information Management & Technology Directorate and its mission partners. The role leads network operations engineering and designs secure enterprise connectivity while supporting current and modernized infrastructure. It contributes to reliable, secure mission services through network monitoring, incident response, troubleshooting, capacity planning, change control, and implementation planning.

What you'll do

• Lead and coordinate Tier I–III network operations engineering personnel
• oversee real-time monitoring of enterprise networks
• develop operational procedures, incident response workflows, and escalation protocols
• serve as senior technical contact for major outages and network events
• coordinate with mission partners and defense organizations
• ensure network changes follow configuration management and DoD CAB procedures
• prepare operational briefs and reports
• design secure network and access solutions
• plan capacity and network optimization
• support IPv4 and IPv6 addressing
• work with information assurance teams on compliance and accreditation artifacts.

Why this role

Requires an active DoD Top Secret clearance, active DoD IAT Level II certification or equivalent, and a network certification at least equivalent to CCNA. Requires substantial network engineering experience; a bachelor’s or master’s degree is specified, with additional directly applicable experience potentially accepted in lieu of a degree.
