Per Diem Residential Counselor

The Per Diem Residential Counselor role is onsite in Kingston, NY, paying $18.53 per hour plus shift differential depending on the shift. The role supports residential programs for adults recovering from mental illness, who may also have substance abuse problems. On an as-needed basis, the counselor provides support and guidance, teaches daily living skills, and helps residents prepare to live more independently in the community while supporting their health, safety, and welfare.

What you'll do

• Advocate for participants and assist with programming, employment, and public assistance as needed. Provide a supportive environment, teach daily living skills such as budgeting, meal planning, hygiene, housekeeping, public transportation use, and social skills
• supervise medication administration as required
