Class A CDL Driver – Trench Safety Equipment

The Class A CDL Driver – Trench Safety Equipment role is onsite in Sulphur, LA; compensation is not specified. National Trench Safety delivers and picks up trench-related shoring and plates at customer job sites. The driver transports equipment safely and on time, follows DOT and company safety requirements, and maintains vehicle and delivery records. The role also includes occasional loading, unloading, and shoring assembly or disassembly, with customer communication and yard support as needed.

What you'll do

• Operate company vehicles safely and professionally
• inspect vehicles at the beginning and end of shifts and report issues
• maintain electronic hours-of-service logs and current credentials
• secure loads and report accidents
• deliver and pick up shoring and plates, often across multiple loads per day
• occasionally load and unload or assemble and disassemble shoring
• maintain delivery documents
• communicate schedule issues
• follow customer-site safety requirements
• assist with yard operations as needed
• keep vehicles clean and maintained.

Why this role

A current Class A CDL and valid medical examiner’s certificate are required. Two years of direct Class A driving experience is preferred; forklift certification may be obtained as required. Occasional after-hours customer emergencies may arise.
