What you'll do

• Assess and provide nursing care to patients receiving hemodialysis
• identify dialysis complications and emergencies and take appropriate action
• provide patient and support-system education
• monitor and maintain equipment, order supplies, implement medication orders, and coordinate vascular access appointments
• provide dietary education and referrals as appropriate
• document care and maintain records
• participate in quality improvement, meetings, and hospital committees
• follow infection-control policies.
