The Toddler Assistant Teacher role is onsite at the Balboa Early Learning Campus in Spokane, WA. Pay is $19.50–$24.50 per hour. Lilac City Early Learning Center is opening a new campus through a partnership with Spokane Public Schools and the City of Spokane. The assistant teacher helps create a nurturing classroom and supports toddlers’ social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through curriculum activities and developmentally appropriate practice. The role also supports family communication, classroom documentation, and collaboration with the teaching team.

What you'll do

• Create a nurturing classroom environment
• assist with planning and implementing curriculum
• support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
• complete developmental assessments
• conduct family conferences and communicate with families daily
• supervise Classroom Aides
• maintain classroom documentation
• meet licensing requirements
• participate in team meetings and professional development.
