What you'll do

• Perform x-ray testing including body mechanics and patient movement using knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• Operate diagnostic equipment, develop film, and prepare the room with necessary equipment and supplies.
• Perform Medical Assistant duties.
• Greet patients promptly, communicate wait times, and provide direction.
• Resolve patient problems and recognize/seek help in emergent situations.
• Execute follow-up calls with urgency.
• Assist front desk personnel with patient check-in/out.
• Obtain and document vital signs, weight, and patient history.
• Assist with patient transfers and procedures supervised by a provider.
• Follow documentation procedures and complete required documentation.
• Perform timely radiology procedures for physician evaluation and treatment.
• Perform quality control procedures to ensure quality exams.
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, following safety and care procedures, including radiation protection and shielding.
• Ensure equipment is in proper working order and report malfunctions.
• Maintain and improve diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills.
• Maintain current licensure and certification.
