Driver/Security Officer

The Driver/Security Officer role is onsite in Tucson, AZ. Pay is $17.20 per hour. The position supports the Fred G. Acosta Job Corps Center, a federally funded residential training program that educates and trains youth ages 16–24 for careers. The role supports center safety and program operations by transporting students and materials, maintaining vehicles and records, and following applicable safety requirements. During non-driving periods, the employee assists with other departmental functions.

What you'll do

• Drive center vehicles as needed
• transport students to designated destinations, including bus stations, airports, medical appointments, training sites, testing sites, and recreational activities
• pick up and deliver materials
• inspect fleet vehicles
• maintain accurate transportation logs and records
• report repair needs and accidents
• follow safety requirements
• keep vehicles maintained and clean
• assist with other departmental functions during non-driving periods.
