Job overview
The Journeyman Network Services Specialist role is onsite at Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford, MA. Compensation is $105,000–$115,000 per year. The position supports Astrion’s EPASS Cyber and Networks Directorate contract and the C3I & Networks Division (AFLCMC/HNI). The specialist plans, configures, tests, maintains, and secures networked systems that transmit voice, data, and video. The work supports network capacity, performance, reliability, and cybersecurity requirements for the supported organization.
What you'll do
- Analyze network requirements and workload
- recommend and maintain network architecture and infrastructure
- monitor capacity and performance
- diagnose and resolve network problems
- recommend backup and recovery procedures
- install, test, maintain, and upgrade network operating-system software
- apply information-security and cybersecurity policies
- support network configuration and testing involving MPLS, BGP, OSPF, 2FA, BFD, LACP, and VLAN trunks.
