What you'll do

• Answer technical billing questions and assist with staff training
• communicate departmental and regulatory updates
• verify insurance eligibility and coverage and maintain pre-authorizations as needed
• document account correspondence
• prepare and submit accurate claims
• follow up on unpaid claims and accounts receivable
• review medical records for billing information
• field patient calls, take payments, and set up payment plans
• assist with sliding fee discount applications
• maintain account demographics and use Excel for tracking.
