Technical Writer / IT Knowledge Management Specialist

Job overview

The Technical Writer / IT Knowledge Management Specialist role is onsite in Saint Louis, MO, five days a week; compensation is $25–$45 per hour. The specialist supports an IT support organization at a client partner by improving and migrating its knowledge library for Technology Support staff and AI-powered self-service tools. The role exists to make IT knowledge accurate, consistent, well organized, and maintainable. It inventories and migrates existing content, resolves documentation gaps with technical teams, and establishes library structures and review processes.

What you'll do

• Inventory knowledge base content and recommend what to retain, update, consolidate, or retire.
• Migrate and standardize documents, resolve conflicting content, gather information from IT subject matter experts, write articles, design SharePoint library structure and templates, and establish status reporting and content ownership/review processes.
