What you'll do

• Prepare patients for examination
• obtain and document vital signs and measurements in the EHR
• dispose of contaminated supplies
• assist with urine drug screen collection
• check samples, medications, oxygen tanks, eyewash stations, and biohazard areas
• sterilize instruments
• clean and stock exam rooms
• maintain supplies and equipment
• maintain confidentiality
• obtain prior authorizations and precertifications
• perform EKGs
• track referrals and ordered tests
• escort patients
• communicate normal test results and mail results
• maintain applicable certifications and CPR certification.
