Lead Groundskeeper

The work supports safe, attractive public grounds and athletic fields, and includes equipment care, seasonal tasks, and assistance with related County maintenance projects.

What you'll do

• Lead and assign crew work
• coordinate logistics, materials, job completion, and employee training and evaluation
• work with the Superintendent on maintenance schedules
• perform preventive and minor corrective maintenance on grounds equipment
• maintain grounds through mowing, edging, weeding, watering, trimming, raking, and planting
• clear debris and snow as needed
• assist with building maintenance, special construction, athletic field, irrigation, trail, event setup, and other County projects as assigned
• act as supervisor when the Parks and Grounds Foreman is absent
• work during and following natural disasters and emergencies as essential personnel.
