Job overview
The Senior Applied Behavior Analysis Independent Living Skills Companion role is onsite in Camarillo, CA, supporting individuals in their homes and community settings. Compensation is $22–$24 per hour. The Institute for Applied Behavior Analysis’ Supported Living Services team supports adults with developmental disabilities in building independent lives in the community. The role oversees support services and helps individuals develop daily living skills, adaptive behaviors, relationships, and community participation. It also includes hiring, training, and supervising employees who provide direct support.
What you'll do
- Facilitate community connections, friendships, and recreational and educational activities
- teach independent living skills and increase adaptive behaviors
- participate in client team meetings as requested
- facilitate or carry out quality reviews
- coordinate client support schedules
- be scheduled on-call for after-hours emergencies
- and, for no more than 20% of work time, assist with support plans, apartment setup, substitute coverage, companion training, and client data and reports as directed.
