What you'll do

• Consult with patients about health concerns
• perform specialized tests to diagnose patients
• determine courses of treatment
• coordinate with primary doctors and specialists
• perform endoscopic procedures to inspect internal organs
• analyze patient history
• perform X-ray, MRI, and ultrasound scanning
• perform digestive-tract surgery.
