Charlotte Animal Referral & Emergency is a 24-hour emergency and specialty referral hospital with services including internal medicine, cardiology, neurology, surgery, oncology, and ophthalmology. The role supports emergency veterinarians by triaging patients, assisting with emergency cases, and providing nursing and diagnostic care. The available schedules are second shift, 2 p.m.–12 a.m., or third shift, 9 p.m.–7 a.m.; each follows a pattern of two workdays, two days off, five workdays, and five days off.
What you'll do
- Assist veterinarians in patient care
- provide nursing care
- perform venipuncture and place IV catheters
- conduct automated and manual laboratory analysis and digital radiology
- triage patients and anticipate veterinarian needs
- assist with anesthesia induction, endotracheal intubation, and anesthesia monitoring
- provide client service
- perform medical calculations.

Why this role
Registered Veterinary Technician preferred but not required; at least two years of veterinary technician experience required. Some holidays and weekends are required.
