What you'll do
- Register patients
- perform venipuncture, capillary sticks, urinalysis, glucose tolerance procedures, and first aid as applicable
- identify patients accurately and label specimens
- follow HIPAA, bloodborne pathogen, hazard communication, and laboratory safety requirements
- handle adverse reactions
- enter data
- notify physicians of critical lab results
- maintain a clean phlebotomy area
- complete assignments on time.
