The Travel Registered Nurse (RN), Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) role is an onsite travel assignment in Boston, MA, with weekly pay of $2,618–$2,834. The role supports a hospital-based SICU caring for surgical patients, including transplant, hepatobiliary, and general surgery cases. The nurse provides direct care to critically ill surgical patients, monitors and manages their condition, and responds to emergencies while following ICU protocols and safety practices. The role contributes to coordinated care through assessments, documentation in Epic, collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, rounds, handoffs, and quality improvement activities.

What you'll do

• Provide direct SICU nursing care
• monitor hemodynamics, ventilator support, drains, and invasive lines
• administer medications and respond to emergencies
• perform focused assessments and communicate changes
• collaborate with surgeons, intensivists, and trauma teams on care plans
• document in Epic
• participate in rounds, handoffs, and quality improvement
• support infection control, patient safety, and discharge planning as appropriate.
