Data Scientist Intern

The Data Scientist Intern is an onsite position based in Denver, CO, with a pay range of $22.10 to $27.90 per hour. This role supports the ISP team at Xcel Energy by designing and optimizing business processes and data flows within the Databricks/XDF architecture. The role exists to deliver data-driven solutions across various business areas, including resource planning, distribution, and transmission. The intern will contribute to model development, ETL workflows, and ad hoc analytics, partnering with senior team members to solve complex business problems.

What you'll do

• Design and optimize business processes and data flows.
• Develop ETL workflows for model workflows.
• Support application development and rate/cost analysis.
• Deliver analytics projects with guidance from senior team members.
• Work with Python, SQL, Git, and cloud-based analytics tools.
