Tubemill Operator, Second Shift is an onsite role in Denver, NC, scheduled 3:30 p.m.–2:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday, with mandatory overtime on Friday and Saturday based on business need. Pay is $23.71–$25.44 per hour plus a 10% shift differential. The role supports Husky Rack and Wire’s tube production operations. The operator sets up, adjusts, changes over, operates, and maintains a tube mill that forms and seam-welds continuous tube to specified sizes and lengths. The work includes loading steel coils, joining coils, monitoring weld quality, checking cut lengths, recording production, and maintaining equipment and a safe work area.

What you'll do

• Set up and adjust the tube mill for different tube sizes
• replace rolls and prepare shims
• load steel coils using an overhead electric hoist
• join coils by MIG welding
• set automatic cutoff lengths and check pieces
• monitor and adjust the resistance welding station
• maintain production tags and logs
• perform minor maintenance
• operate a lift truck
• train and check the work of lower-level operators
• report defects and equipment problems
• follow safety practices.
