The Commercial Waste Collection Driver is an onsite, full-time role in Bakersfield, CA. Pay is $31.20–$32.45 per hour. The driver supports Burrtec’s refuse and recycling collection services. The role safely operates commercial vehicles on assigned routes to collect and transport waste and recyclable materials for proper disposal. It contributes to timely, compliant service through vehicle inspections, accurate route records, customer communication, and adherence to safety and environmental requirements.

What you'll do

• Operate commercial collection vehicles safely
• follow routes and schedules
• collect waste from residential, commercial, or industrial sites
• load waste using appropriate equipment
• optimize routes and complete required paperwork
• conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• report mechanical issues
• provide professional customer service
• follow DOT, safety, and environmental requirements
• maintain route records
• assist with other routes and mandatory overtime as assigned.
