The Maintenance Technician, 1st Shift role is fully onsite in Wheeling, IL. Compensation is $32–$43 per hour. The technician works in Wieland’s maintenance department, supporting the company’s copper and copper alloy manufacturing operations. The role troubleshoots and maintains industrial electromechanical systems and production machinery to support reliable equipment operation, production needs, and workplace safety.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot industrial electromechanical systems and machinery
• work with machine operators to identify equipment issues
• perform preventive maintenance
• diagnose and repair mechanical parts
• fabricate or repair machine parts using measuring devices, mills, lathes, drill presses, and welders
• follow OSHA and NFPA regulations and wear required PPE
• coordinate with departments and supervisors.
