Senior Engineer, Electrical BOP

The Senior Engineer, Electrical BOP is an onsite role based in Austin, TX. The annual base salary range is $140,000 - $155,000. This role supports RWE Americas' renewable generation assets. The engineer performs load flow, reactive power capability, and short circuit studies to ensure assets operate at their best.

What you'll do

• Perform and review short circuit studies and arc flash hazard analyses for electrical systems.
• Approve study reports.
• Recommend mitigation strategies to reduce incident energy levels.
• Prepare technical documentation, including one-line diagrams, protective device coordination, and arc flash labeling.
• Develop and maintain accurate electrical system models using ETAP.
• Collaborate with project teams and clients to gather system data and validate inputs.
• Provide training and mentorship on electrical safety and power system analysis.
