CT Technologist (PRN) in Austin, TX. This is a per diem, onsite position. Compensation is not specified. The purpose of this role is to perform CT procedures in accordance with standards and practice set forth by the American Registry of Radiology Technology and Hospital Policies and Procedures, optimizing the use of radiation.

What you'll do

  • Perform CT procedures in accordance with standards and practice set forth by the American Registry of Radiology Technology and Hospital Policies and Procedures. Optimize the use of radiation by utilizing the concepts of Image Gently and Image Wisely. Demonstrate knowledge of human structure and functions, patient care/safety, positioning, principles of radiographic sciences, radiation protection, medication safety (contrast) and specialized techniques. Maintain professional judgment and conduct. Graduate of an American Medical Association approved program in Radiologic Technology
  • and CT curriculum covering 3 semester hours of Sectional Anatomy
  • or 16 hours post graduate CEU’s Cross Sectional Anatomy. Certified or Temporary Certified by Texas Department of State Health Services as a Medical Radiologic Technologist
  • and Certified in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT, RTR)
  • and Post- primary CT certification within 1 year of CT assignment
  • and American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS.

Graduate of an American Medical Association approved program in Radiologic Technology
Experience
One year experience performing Computed Tomography procedures is preferred.
