Packaging Area Expert, Third Shift

Job overview

The Packaging Area Expert, Third Shift role is onsite in Medina, NY, working 10:00 p.m.–6:30 a.m. Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed. Compensation is $25 per hour plus a $1.00 shift differential. The role supports Winland Foods' production of meal-preparation products and packaged foods for retail and foodservice customers. The packaging expert operates and monitors production lines, maintains equipment and sanitation, and checks product quality and packaging accuracy. The role also coordinates team activities, supports training, and contributes to continuous improvement so products are packaged safely, efficiently, and to required standards.

What you'll do

• Operate packaging machinery and complete changeovers, inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting
• monitor line performance and coordinate with maintenance
• inspect labels, packaging, weights, and product quality
• pack and palletize products
• manage materials and inventory records
• follow GMP, HACCP, SQF, FSMA, and sanitation requirements
• document production and quality results
• train and guide team members
• lead assigned line activities and improvement efforts.
