Staff Accountant — General Ledger

The Staff Accountant — General Ledger role is onsite in Saline, MI; compensation is not specified. The position supports MMI’s Finance team and financial operations for its U.S. and Mexico facilities. MMI provides engineering solutions for advanced composites and engineered resins. Reporting to the Controller, the accountant maintains accurate financial records, supports month-end close and reporting, manages customer pricing, and contributes to process improvement and financial analysis.

What you'll do

• Process weekly cash disbursements for Mexico operations
• provide backup support for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing
• manage customer pricing in IQMS/DELMIAWorks and employee credit card charges
• manage petty cash
• maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
• research discrepancies involving receiving, invoices, freight, purchase orders, and inventory transactions
• record transactions accurately
• verify approvals for tooling invoices
• assist with month-end close, financial reporting, monthly metrics, standard costing, and inventory analysis
• improve accounting procedures and internal processes
• assist with account projects and departmental initiatives.
