Bus Aide

The Bus Aide role is onsite in Palmetto, Florida, and is part-time. Compensation is $15.45–$20.09 per hour. Redlands Christian Migrant Association is a nonprofit leader in childcare and early education serving Florida communities. The aide escorts children to and from the vehicle and supports their safety and behavior during transportation between home and center. The role helps ensure children are accounted for, cared for, and transported according to safety procedures and program requirements.

What you'll do

• Ride with children during transportation between home and center
• keep children safe, comfortable, and occupied
• follow vehicle safety and emergency evacuation procedures
• ensure no child is left on the vehicle
• contact the school and wait for a qualified driver if the driver cannot operate a CDL-required bus
• keep the vehicle interior clean
• deliver messages from teachers or the school director
• maintain the daily transportation attendance log
• participate in training and follow RCMA and DCF requirements.
