What you'll do

• Control access, operate surveillance equipment, and conduct regular checks
• supervise juvenile movement, counsel juveniles, and maintain discipline
• conduct health and safety checks
• prepare and serve meals and provide access to medical care
• follow receiving and discharge procedures and secure personal property
• write reports, enforce house rules, and respond to disturbances and emergencies
• supervise housekeeping and perform janitorial duties
• administer approved medication and maintain records
• assist law enforcement agencies with information on juveniles in detention.
