PRN Unit Social Worker

The PRN Unit Social Worker role is onsite in Washington, DC. The current PRN rate is $46.62 per hour, with an additional $7 per hour weekend differential. Available shifts are seven days a week, 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m. The role supports a psychiatric and behavioral health unit at MedStar Washington Hospital Center through Signet Health. The social worker provides clinical services to patients and families as part of a multidisciplinary team. The work includes psychosocial assessment, groups, family or marital therapy, and treatment planning to support patient care.

What you'll do

• Provide direct clinical social work services to patients and families
• complete psychosocial assessments
• conduct groups and facilitate marital or family therapies
• assist with program development
• develop, implement, and review treatment plans
• communicate with referral sources
• provide timely clinical documentation
• participate in training and in-services
• maintain annual CPI and biannual BLS/CPR certifications
• follow applicable licensing, regulatory, Signet Health, and hospital policies.

Why this role

Requires two years’ experience in an adult inpatient psychiatric unit and/or substance use facility, plus an active DC LPC, LICSW, or LGSW. Active CPI and BLS/CPR certifications must be maintained.
