The Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) / Drone Pilot & Operations – DoD SkillBridge Internship is primarily in-person and field-based in the Fayetteville, NC / Fort Liberty area, with field locations. Compensation is not specified. Touchpoint International Development Group offers this 90–180-day fellowship for eligible active-duty service members in their authorized SkillBridge transition window. The fellowship translates military experience into civilian UAS operations through hands-on flight operations, training support, operational research, technology evaluation, and field activities. Participants support training and research teams while documenting activities and helping develop realistic UAS scenarios and technical materials.

What you'll do

• Operate commercial and government-relevant UAS platforms under applicable regulations and safety procedures
• support mission planning, pre-flight preparation, flight execution, and post-flight activities
• collect aerial data and support ISR-oriented training scenarios
• assist with UAS and counter-UAS training, threat recreation, and OPFOR activities
• evaluate platforms, payloads, software, communications systems, and equipment
• document flights and lessons learned
• assist instructors and researchers at field events
• support training materials and technical products
• perform basic maintenance, configuration, troubleshooting, and equipment accountability.
