Materials Specialist — First Shift

The Materials Specialist role is onsite in Montgomery, AL; compensation is not specified. The position supports materials planning for the MNAe BSA MG plant and its manufacturing standards. The specialist monitors production materials, inventory, orders, and supplier activity to prevent shortages and maintain accurate stock. The work supports production continuity through inventory analysis, discrepancy resolution, reporting, and coordination with customers, suppliers, and plant teams.

What you'll do

• Monitor and analyze production materials and costs
• prevent parts and container shortages
• monitor hot parts, EDI, and SAP orders
• analyze material master data and model-year changes
• optimize stock using Min/Max analysis
• manage incoming parts, stock transfers, and inventory accuracy
• investigate cycle-count variances
• monitor FIFO and high-rack inventory
• support production feeding
• prepare reports and shipment documentation
• coordinate with suppliers, customers, receiving clerks, and other teams.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry-specific experience, 2+ years in automotive just-in-sequence production control, Hyundai/Kia/MOBIS experience, and SAP and MES experience. Office setting with some walking between buildings.
