Certified Nursing Assistant, Long Term Care (LTC) position available in Mount Vernon, SD. This is a Full Time role with a schedule of 8 Hours - Day Shifts and weekly hours of 40.00. The salary range is $20.00 - $25.50 per hour. Good Samaritan is a not-for-profit organization with over 100 years of service to seniors. The Nursing Assistant (NA) provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN), focusing on basic health care needs, including bathing, toileting, and vital signs, while ensuring age-appropriate care and psychosocial support.

What you'll do

• Serves as caregiver providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Provides assistance with basic health care needs including daily living activities.
• Assists the resident in transferring, repositioning, and walking.
• Completes tasks related to food preparation and dining.
• Aids providers and nursing staff members with procedures.
• Documents resident interactions and outcomes.
• Communicates resident's changing condition and care related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.
• Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens and gathers vital signs.
• Provides housekeeping and laundry services.

What we're looking for

Education

High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.

Experience

Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
