Fabrication Technician I

The Fabrication Technician I role is onsite in Hollywood, MD, with pay of $18.26–$27.30 per hour. The position is part of the Fabrication & Modification Department and reports to the Fabrication & Modification Manager. Working under supervision, the technician fabricates parts and performs aircraft sheet-metal and composite repairs. The work supports aircraft modification and repair by producing parts to blueprint specifications and maintaining required tolerances.

What you'll do

• Use detailed blueprints to lay out parts for fabrication and installation
• fabricate aircraft parts such as ribs, stringers, and doublers using sheet-metal and composite repair techniques
• use measuring tools including calipers and scales
• operate fabrication equipment such as drill presses, band saws, chop saws, bending brakes, and shears
• hold required tolerances
• perform other necessary or assigned duties.
