• Provide independent mission assurance, safety, quality, reliability, parts engineering, radiation, and configuration management oversight.
• Own failure analyses and reliability models, chair failure reviews and production configuration boards, lead hazard analysis, exercise inspection and nonconformance disposition authority, and maintain parts and as-built configuration records.
• The role may halt work or withhold qualification sign-off when evidence requires it.
