Industrial Wastewater Treatment Operator

Job overview

The Industrial Wastewater Treatment Operator role is onsite, based from the Columbia or Greenville, SC offices. Pay is $32–$38 per hour, depending on experience. Weston & Sampson provides engineering and environmental services, including work to provide clean water and resilient infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Operate physical and chemical wastewater treatment systems
• conduct rounds, inspections, sampling, and process testing
• monitor and adjust treatment processes
• perform basic preventive maintenance and troubleshooting
• document operations and compliance
• handle chemicals safely
• and communicate with clients and project personnel. After-hours, weekend, holiday, and emergency coverage may be needed.

Why this role

A South Carolina Physical/Chemical Wastewater Treatment Operator license, Grade D or higher, is preferred or may be required depending on project needs. Trainee-license holders and eligible out-of-state licensees may be considered.
