The Adult Day Program Specialist — Direct Service Professional Intern role is onsite in Los Angeles, CA. Compensation is $18.42–$20.50 per hour. All’s Well Healthcare partnered with California’s Department of Developmental Services to launch a paid, three-month shadow training program supporting adults with special needs. Working under an experienced Direct Service Professional mentor, the intern learns to support individuals with developmental or intellectual needs in pursuing independence and fulfilling lives. The role centers each person’s choices while supporting daily living, communication, community participation, wellness, and personal goals.

What you'll do

• Shadow and train with an experienced Direct Service Professional mentor for up to three months and 30 hours per week
• support communication and social interaction, daily living skills, community activities, access to services, education and job-readiness goals, health and wellness, individual rights and inclusion, and meaningful relationships
• document services and progress
• keep the individual at the center of decision-making.
