Telecommunications Engineering Technician

Job overview

The Telecommunications Engineering Technician is an onsite role based in Salt Lake City, UT, with an annual salary range of $59,150 to $106,925. This position supports the National Airspace Systems Integration Support (NISC) program for the FAA. The role is responsible for supporting the FAA’s Legacy Infrastructure to Future Technologies (LIFT) Portfolio. The technician will conduct site surveys, draft technical plans, and coordinate infrastructure replacements to facilitate the conversion of National Airspace Connectivity from TDM to IP.

What you'll do

• Review FAA databases and draft Site Survey Reports (SSR).
• Conduct site surveys.
• Coordinate schedules with SSC, ES, and Verizon.
• Draft Project Risk Plans (PRP) and Operational Risk Management Plans (ORMP).
• Generate and update drawings and artifacts.
• Support transition planning and outage coordination.
