Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist

What you'll do

• Perform CT scans according to established protocols and discuss deviations with the Radiologist
• screen patients for medical history and contrast contraindications
• obtain consent, initiate IV sites, administer contrast, and observe for reactions
• select techniques and position patients
• review scans with the Radiologist as applicable
• explain examinations to patients and families
• perform quality assurance and control duties
• complete examination charges
• follow radiation safety and universal precautions
• assist other modalities as needed
• maintain required continuing education.
