The Civil Designer / Municipal Infrastructure role is onsite in Fond du Lac, WI; pay is $80,000–$140,000 per year. The designer supports Excel Engineering’s civil engineering projects and the development of public and private sites. The role turns project concepts into detailed, compliant plans and technical documents. Collaboration with engineers, architects, planners, clients, and regulatory agencies helps ensure designs meet project requirements, safety needs, and community standards.

What you'll do

• Develop municipal and site plans for grading, drainage, utilities, roadways, and stormwater management
• collaborate with engineers, architects, planners, and clients and incorporate feedback
• ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards
• prepare technical drawings, specifications, and documentation using Civil 3D
• coordinate with regulatory agencies on plan approvals and compliance
• maintain project schedules and documentation.

Why this role

Requires an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, architectural engineering, or a related field and proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or equivalent. Municipal infrastructure, EIT, GIS, and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling experience are preferred.
