Maintenance Assistant

Job overview

The Maintenance Assistant role is onsite in Springfield, IL. Compensation is $18–$22 per hour. The position supports the facility’s Maintenance Department in keeping the facility safe and comfortable for residents. The assistant helps coordinate maintenance activities, repair facility and resident property, and monitor upkeep and supplies. The role also supports safety and fire prevention programs and coordinates with other departments and outside vendors to maintain the environment and equipment.

What you'll do

• Repair facility and resident property
• coordinate maintenance services and activities with related departments
• inspect the facility for upkeep and supply control
• coordinate with outside vendors
• supervise safety and fire protection and prevention programs
• inspect work areas and equipment
• help ensure supplies and equipment are maintained and used to provide a safe, comfortable environment.
