Field Technician — Construction and Earthmoving Equipment

Job overview

The Field Technician role is onsite in Chesapeake, VA, with a stated salary range of $35–$45 per hour. The technician services construction and earthmoving equipment at customer job sites and in the field.

What you'll do

• Diagnose and repair heavy construction equipment and component systems
• develop repair plans and identify tooling and parts
• perform mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, and electrical repairs
• test repairs for proper operation
• complete service reports, parts orders, and work orders
• communicate repair progress and equipment status
• maintain the company service truck, tools, and work area
• follow safety procedures.
