Hotel Accountant

The Hotel Accountant role is onsite in Fargo, ND. Compensation is not specified. The accountant supports day-to-day accounting across an assigned portfolio of Brandt Hospitality Group hotel properties and reports to the VP of Accounting & Financial Reporting.

What you'll do

• Upload and reconcile hotel property-management-system data
• complete bank reconciliations
• tie out daily hotel revenue and statistics
• calculate, file, and research sales tax
• prepare month-end entries and accruals
• reconcile account schedules and support general-ledger accuracy
• and respond to property-level accounting questions, including credit-card processing issues and discrepancies.

Why this role

A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience, is required. One to three years of accounting experience is required; hotel or hospitality accounting is preferred. Familiarity with hotel PMS systems and USALI standards is a plus.
