The Registered Nurse (RN) — ICU Step-Down / Neuro Surgical Step-Down role is onsite in Neptune, NJ, with a 13-week assignment and three 12-hour night shifts per week, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM. Compensation is $62–$67 per hour. The role provides care in a neuro surgical and ICU step-down setting. The nurse provides comprehensive care to complex medical, neurological, cardiac, and post-surgical patients. Through assessment, monitoring, treatment, documentation, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the RN supports patient safety and care needs in a higher-acuity setting.

What you'll do

• Assess patients and develop individualized care plans
• monitor complex medical, neurological, cardiac, and post-surgical patients
• provide telemetry monitoring and higher-acuity interventions
• monitor cardiac rhythms and neurological status
• document care in EPIC
• provide ventilator-related care when required
• administer medications and treatments
• collaborate with physicians and the care team
• educate patients and families
• float within competency.

Why this role

Requires an active New Jersey or compact RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, a four-hour stroke CEU, neuro experience, EPIC experience, and at least two years of RN and major acute-care MS/Tele experience.
