The Intermediate Systems Engineer role is an onsite position in Indianapolis, IN. Compensation is not specified. The engineer supports the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) IBM mainframe-based civilian payroll system; CyberMedia Technologies provides modernization and digital transformation services to the U.S. Federal Government. This role contributes to reliable enterprise systems by participating across the system development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design through integration, testing, implementation, and maintenance. It also supports production monitoring, change requests, documentation, and system quality and compliance activities.
What you'll do
- Perform systems analysis, design, integration, testing, implementation, and maintenance for enterprise applications and systems
- participate in SDLC planning, requirements gathering, evaluation, integration, testing, and acceptance
- analyze business and technical requirements and assist with automated engineering solutions
- collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders
- maintain technical documentation and system specifications
- troubleshoot system issues
- support software testing, configuration management, and audit readiness
- analyze and action system change requests
- monitor production jobs and ABEND codes using TSO, ISPF, SDSF, and JES
- participate in COOP testing and enhancements.
