Peer Support Specialist

The Peer Support Specialist role is in person in Kirkland, WA, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Pay is $32.62–$37.49 per hour. Plymouth Housing provides permanent supportive housing and services for single adults who have experienced chronic homelessness. The specialist provides peer support and practical assistance to residents pursuing self-defined recovery, wellbeing, and housing stability. The role connects residents with benefits, appointments, recovery resources, and community services while coordinating with the broader care team.

What you'll do

• Provide individual and group peer support and facilitate peer groups and resident activities
• help residents work toward self-defined goals
• attend appointments and connect residents to benefits, recovery resources, and harm reduction services
• use trauma-informed, person-centered approaches
• build trusting professional relationships
• coordinate with clinical managers, case managers, and resource navigators
• maintain community-provider relationships
• participate in care meetings
• document service data
• maintain confidentiality and data security.

Why this role

Requires high school graduation or equivalent and two years of related program experience, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and lived experience. Peer certification must be initiated within 18 months of hire; some evenings, nights, or weekends may be needed to meet program needs.
