Section 8 Intake Specialist

The Section 8 Intake Specialist is an onsite, full-time position in Ottawa, IL, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and a one-hour lunch break; flex time is available for appointments. What you'll do

• Review applications and determine eligibility and preference status
• complete admissions verification and deny or finalize applicant files
• determine affordability
• prepare initial admission documents
• respond to information requests, questions, and complaints under department policies
• issue notices of denial or termination of assistance or tenancy
• prioritize and coordinate assigned work and ensure accuracy
• attend meetings, seminars, and training as instructed.
